BasicGov Documentation & Training Program

Project Deliverable:

End-to-end Administrator and Configuration Guide + an initial Certification Program.

Project Description:

BasicGov (now known as Clariti Software) had recently transitioned from a services company to a product company This meant that instead of implementing their SaaS Government ePermiting and eLicensing solution themselves, they had to rely on partners such as Deloitte and Accenture.

These partners and their implementation teams (developers, business analysts, functional analysts) had no knowledge of BasicGov's product. And BasicGov had no documentation to give them.

Working closely with the Product and Development teams, in just over a year, I accomplished the following:

Documentation

• Produced over 1500 pages of documentation

• Focused on the biggest impact areas first to reduce SME and PM support time by over 50%

• Introduced release notes

• Documentation was then able to be turned into an Online Portal

Training

• Developed a Certification program for partners

• Created multiple online training courses (over 14 hours' instruction time)

• Implemented LMS system using Talent LMS

• Hired contractor and oversaw 3 additional courses

• Certified over 100 partners in less than 6 months

Note: All materials produced for BasicGov were proprietary and not publicly available. While I can’t show the finished products, I’m happy to discuss the details of this and other similar projects.
